Tony in red held the early lead of the B Final from Steve in white and Bill in yellow. Al was struggling in blue, coming off the track on almost every lap at the end of the twisty first sector. During a track call, a tab was found to be up on Al’s lane and once the race was resumed he was the fastest car on track and set the fastest lap of the class. Up front an off for Tony had left Steve right on his heels. Behind them Al had passed Bill and was continuing to close in on the leaders. While Steve was off the track in the closing stages of the race, Al snatched second finishing just a shade over a lap behind Tony.

A good start for Ray left him with the early lead of the A final from the white lane. Tony was initially second in Yellow before dropping behind Paul in Red. A shaky start for Nick left him fourth but just over a minute in, a big off for Tony sent him back to fourth and promoted Nick to third. Moments after, an off for Ray gave Paul the lead. Those positions remained until the end of the race, with Paul winning by just under a lap with Ray second a couple of tenths ahead of Nick in third.

The best lap times were particularly close this month with less than 8 hundredths of a second seperating the entire field!

Paul’s win was a good way to finish his season as he took the Micro Scalextric Club Class Championship for the third year in a row.

Super F1

Qualifying

Paul took pole by just 0.4 laps from Al who was running well with a chassis recently purchased from the retiring Paul Homewood. Ray’s Super G+ was also running nicely and he took third ahead of Tony, Nick and Steve. Bill had to head home halfway through Quali and so only completed half of his heats.
